Project Description

Design brief

Ben Mirkin Eyecare was outdated and tired looking practice with high-end frames and sunglasses on display in a prestigious location in London’s Brent Cross. Mr Rod Chanes wanted us to design the practice that will reflect the state of the art optical equipment as well to project the image of quality products on display. The feel of the practice should be a mixture of industrial, boutique and modern feel

Before

Design Challenges

We needed to create a new floor layout with the new Testing rooms and a Pre-screen room. The display units and the furniture will have to have a worm and library looking feel but not to be outdated look. Also, security was very important and Mr Chanes didn’t want to have display rods.

Renders

Solutions

To achieve these requirements, we proposed Lockable cabinets with a woodgrain finish and LED lighting. Also, the floor Locking and LED-lit display tables were added to enhance the number of frames on display but not to clatter the shop.

The industrial feel was achieved by keeping the ventilation system exposed and the finish of the back wall in bricks.
